There are milestones in a real estate professional’s career that stay with you forever—and for me, attending the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) NXT Conference & Expo in Boston, Massachusetts is officially right at the top of that list!
Not only was this my very first trip to the United States, but I also had the immense privilege of representing Filipino Homes alongside 115 passionate delegates from across the Philippines. Standing together as one united delegation on the global stage was a moment of immense pride for all of us.
1. Flying Across the World with the Filipino Homes Delegation
Stepping onto American soil for the first time felt surreal. The anticipation built up over months of preparation, but nothing could quite prepare me for the energy of arriving in Boston with our 115-strong Filipino Homes team.
Walking into the convention center surrounded by brokers and agents representing different regions of the Philippines, all driven by the same hunger to learn and elevate our practice, reminded me of why I love this industry so much. We weren’t just attending an event; we were bringing the heart, warmth, and resilience of Philippine real estate to the global spotlight.
2. Immersed in Innovation, AI, and Proptech
The conference packed world-class sessions into its dynamic schedule. Real estate is evolving at breakneck speed, and NAR NXT placed next-generation technology front and center:
- Global Real Estate Trends: Gaining first-hand insights into foreign investment flows, cross-border transaction dynamics, and how global economic factors shape client demand back home.
- Artificial Intelligence & Automation: Discovering how top-producing agents worldwide leverage AI for market analysis, client communication, and hyper-targeted digital marketing.
- The Future of Proptech: Exploring the massive expo floor filled with innovative CRM tools, virtual walkthrough tech, and data analytics software designed to make buying and selling smoother than ever.
3. Global Networking: Building Bridges Beyond Borders
Beyond the keynote speeches and panel discussions, the real magic happened in the hallways, lounge spaces, and networking events. I had the incredible opportunity to exchange business cards, strategies, and stories with international REALTORS® from North America and Asia.
It was inspiring to realize that no matter what country we come from, real estate professionals share the same core values: building trust, solving client challenges, and creating sustainable communities.
